Ask yourself, What are the traditional values of Simon Hare?
Simon
took full responsibility for the actions of his supporters when they took Jack
Brown campaign signs from property without permission of the property owner,
admitting his campaign had made a mistake.3
Simon
threatened Jack Brown with the prospect of telling his supporters to vote for
Dave Toler, if Jack was on the ballot in November against Dave Toler and if Jack
had not been respectful to him.4 What kind of threat would you call this?
Simon
placed pictures and names on his campaign website claiming them as his
supporters without their knowledge or approval.5 Who else is there that does not belong there?
Simon
brags on his knowledge of Josephine County when he has spent most of his adult
life out of the county, much of it as a lobbyist for utility companies both
public and private.6
Who will he use his lobbying experience for in our county?
Simon points to his management experience, serving on boards of directors for national organizations6, but fails to point out the political goals of these organizations he was managing.7 Do you know what they are? In fairness I will tell you that he also claims to be a card carrying member of the NRA.8 All this proves is that they will let anyone join who will pay the dues.

Gilbertson in a section characterized as supporters.
Sheriff Gilbertson sent a letter to the editor disclaiming his support.
It also had a Ward Ockenden family picture in that section until Ward
complained twice about it. After a
major revamp of the site, the name of Ken LeGaux ended up on a list of supporters
without his knowledge or consent; he, too, submitted a letter to the editor
disclaiming his support.
